equivalent brake horsepower/equivalent shaft horsepower
The sum of horsepower available at the propeller shaft in a piston/turboprop engine, measured as brake horsepower and equivalent power derived from jet thrust by applying a numerical factor to measure thrust. ESHP = SHP (shaft horsepower) + horsepower from jet thrust × 2.6 approximately.
